We are James & Christina Hyke of Jefferson, WI. We own a modest farm in Jefferson County WI., and we believe in producing sound, athletic horses that will have long, healthy lives.
Having worked with horses all of my life, I have seen many horses that were so sweet, yet had been bred in such a way that their bodies would start to break down at early ages. Looking for the breed apart, the one that is enduring, sweet, bred to last and be an athlete, we came to focus on the Trakehner horse, and certainly on one very personable stallion, who is by all means built to last and comes from a line of long lived horses on both his sire and dam's lines.
As I type this now, his sire is 31 years of age, still looks great and is still being ridden. His dam also comes from a long line of horses that lived into their 30's and still being of a useful and sound body.
It is our hope to breed responsibly, to improve upon the next generation of horses. Our stallion is our base for our breeding farm, and we have a select group of offspring for sale. Karino's Fire foals have elastic gaits, they are built to last, athletic, they are personable and have such endearing traits that you will look forward to spending 30 years with them.
